The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Start Foundation and the Modular Synthesizer Ensemble as part of the Baden-Baden Easter Festival.
The challenge for the Start fellows was to quote Beethoven’s 5th Synphony with the Modular Synthesizer in the form of ring tones.
Before we recorded the 30 sec. arrangements for the Beethoven ringtones, we played a spontaneous and improvised concert with the fragments from the 5th synphony.
