16th – 17th June 2018 / Elektronauten Festival – Pioneers of electronic music
As part of the Festival, the Modular Synthesizer Ensemble was invited to provide the possibility of a practical experience of how to play music with many Modular Synthesizers.
For the three days of the »Electronauts« Festival, it’s all about electronically produced music at the Elbphilharmonie – synthesizers, vocoders, loop music, oscillators and more. The Modular Synthesizer Ensemble has 12 synthesizers with which to produce sounds, melodies and noises – i.e. to come up with complete compositions. In this one-day workshop led by Gammon, a musician and music educator who has been working with synthesizers since the 1990s, participants gain insights into working with modular synthesizers – experimenting, improvising and eventually creating their own composition. The workshop will be specially tailored to the group’s age and previous experience.
