The Modular Synthesizer Ensemble from Vienna in sunny California
On air in loop 2 on Believe TV on Friday, 22 January at 13:22 (MEZ)
Every year in January, the largest music trade show – NAMM – takes place in Anaheim, California. This year as a sophisticated online event with an additional 48 hours “Believe in Music-TV” program: concerts, interviews, presentations, workshops and much more.
But now one after the other …
The Modular Synthesizer Ensemble is a regular guest in Berlin at the most extraordinary synthesizer festival under the sun: The Superbooth. Together with the Berlin actors of Superbooth and Schneidersladen 3 musicians were invited to present the Modular Synthesizer from their specific perspectives at NAMM 2021.
And these are the three musicians
Sacha Ketterlin from France gives an insight into his way of working with the instrument and plays a short live set. Gammon from the Modular Synthesizer Ensemble from Vienna shows that getting started with modular sound generation is by no means mysterious, complicated or elaborate, but that it is also possible to make flaky music with substantial sounds in a very simple way. JakoJako is a sought-after techno live act from Berlin. She impressively tells why the modular synthesizer is so special and why the instrument can also develop its own personality.
